2 Warnings
This is a low-power radio frequency device that has passed NCC certification. Without permission, no company or user is allowed to change the frequency, increase power, or alter the original design’s characteristics.
The use of this device must not affect flight safety or interfere with legal communications. Low-power RF devices must tolerate interference from legal communications or ISM equipment.
3 System Overview
The W428 OE RX is a wireless tire pressure monitoring system consisting of a receiver display. It utilizes your vehicle’s factory-installed tire pressure sensors to detect pressure and temperature inside the tires. This information is transmitted via radio signals to the receiver display, showing real-time data.
When an abnormal condition is detected, the display will flash and sound an audible alarm, providing early warning to address tire issues and help reduce accidents.
4 Specifications
| Receiver & Display Specifications | |
|---|---|
| Operating Voltage | DC 9V ~ 16V |
| Normal Operating Current | < 50mA |
| Storage Temperature | -30°C to 80°C |
| Operating Temperature | -20°C to 60°C |
| Pressure Display Range | 0 ~ 116 psi (0 ~ 8 bar) |
| Temperature Display Range | -30°C to 115°C |
5 Installation Guide
Important: Before installation, set the standard tire pressure values in the receiver’s factory settings menu. Default is 35 psi (2.4 bar). The system triggers a warning when pressure falls ≤80% or rises ≥130% of set value.
Note: Tire pressure naturally fluctuates with temperature. For every 6°C (10°F) change, pressure changes by ~1 psi (0.07 bar). This is normal physics.
Installation Steps:
-
1Assembly: Choose between standing mount or windshield mount configuration.
-
2Power Connection: Insert the cigarette lighter power cord into the power jack on the back. (USB port cannot be used for power supply)
-
3Mounting: Peel off the 3M adhesive backing and stick firmly. Adjust angle using the pivot screw.
-
4Final Power Up: Plug into vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket. Use the power switch on plug if socket doesn’t lose power when car is off.
-
5Placement: Install at least 20cm away from GPS, dashcams, or radar detectors to avoid interference.
Hardwiring Note: For fuse box connection, have a professional remove the cigarette lighter plug. Connect red wire to ACC power (synced with ignition), black wire to ground.
6 Operation & Settings
Button Controls:
Switch between display modes
Enter settings / Confirm selections
Display Modes (Brief press Left Button to switch):
- 1. Pressure Priority (Default): All 4 tire pressures, alternating voltage/temperature
- 2. Pressure & Temperature: All 4 pressures and temperatures simultaneously
- 3. Pressure & Voltage: All 4 pressures and vehicle voltage
Changing Settings (Hold Right Button 3 sec):
- • Front/Rear Standard Pressure: 24-80 psi (Default: 35 psi)
- • High Temperature Alert: 60-90°C (Default: 80°C)
- • Power-On Display Mode: Choose from 3 modes
7 Alert Modes
High/Low Pressure Alert
Trigger: Pressure ≥130% or ≤80% of standard value
Warning: Tire icon flashes, anomaly icon lights up, “beep, beep” sound
High Temperature Alert
Trigger: Temperature exceeds set alert value
Warning: Temperature value flashes, anomaly icon lights up, “beep, beep” sound
Low Battery Voltage Alert
Trigger: Vehicle voltage drops below 11.5V
Warning: Voltage value flashes
If consistently below 11.5V, have your vehicle inspected by a professional.
*To mute audible alarm: Hold Left Button for more than 3 seconds.
8 Tire Rotation & Sensor Replacement
The W428 has 5 preset tire rotation modes and 2 sensor replacement modes.
To access: Hold both Left + Right buttons for 3+ seconds.
Rotation Modes (1-5):
Select a rotation pattern, display shows new positions with green indicators. Hold Right Button 3 sec to confirm (hear “beep”).
Sensor Learning Modes:
Sequence: RF → RR → LR → LF
Rapidly inflate/deflate each tire (>4 psi / 0.3 bar change within 15 sec). “Beep” + green light = success.
Use original or approved equivalent sensor. Select tire position, then inflate/deflate as above.
