Understanding Offset (ET)
Offset is the distance in millimeters from the wheel's mounting face to its centerline. Positive offset pushes the wheel inward (toward the vehicle). Negative offset pushes it outward. Most modern vehicles run positive offset between ET35 and ET50.
Backspacing vs. Offset
Backspacing measures the distance from the mounting face to the inner lip of the wheel. It's directly related to offset but expressed as an absolute measurement rather than relative to centerline. Both measurements are needed for accurate clearance verification.
PCD: Bolt Pattern
PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) describes the bolt pattern — number of bolts and the diameter of the circle they form. A 5×114.3 pattern has 5 bolts on a 114.3mm circle. This must match your vehicle's hub exactly.
